NASA Rally

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, members of the ACIFA Executive Council and Presidents' Council attended a noon-hour rally at NAIT organized by the NAIT Academic Staff Association. 200+ NAIT Faculty and their allies participated in a show of force in support of their Bargaining Team, and were joined by Alexandru Caldararu (ACIFA Vice-President: Executive) and members of the NorQuest College Faculty Association (including NCFA President Jennifer Kerwin).

ACIFA POSITION PAPER FIRST OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD

Complementing ACIFA's VP Professional Affairs, Brooklin Schneider, author of ACIFA's position paper on Academic Integrity, Dr. Sarah Eaton of the University of Calgary, enthusiastically supported the paper stating that, as far as she knows, "this is the first position paper [on this subject] by a faculty association anywhere in the world". Dr. Eaton is an internationally recognized authority in the field of academic ethics.
